Most businesses have signs in them. They are usually necessary for displaying information that lets people know where they are and conveys other important messages. There are a variety of ways of hanging signs, but you might prefer a frameless look over that of always have to have your signage in a frame. Standoffs are signage supplies that allow you to mount your signs without them necessarily having to be placed inside traditional framework.

Hanging Standoffs

The process of hanging standoffs is relatively simple. First, you simply anchor the standoffs to the wall with the appropriate materials that come with the purchase of them. Then, four holes must be drilled through the signage panels, which can then be aligned with the mounted sign supplies. Next, the caps can be placed over the signs and hand-tightened to hold the signs in place. There are various types of standoffs designed to accommodate different types of signage as well. Different types of signage hardware may be used with glass, wood or acrylic signs.

Traditional standoff hardware, while advantageous because it’s affordable, might not be the best option for you if you want to preserve the integrity of your design. You might not want to have to drill holes into your sign, in which case there are other options designed to suit your needs without you having to destroy your signage.

Perpendicular Rails

Perpendicular rails make it so that signs can easily be seen. They put them at a high visibility angle and are ideal for mounting signs that you really want to get noticed. For instance, company name signs and bathroom signs are examples of the types of signs that you might want to mount with perpendicular rails. These types of rails come with the required hardware necessary to install them.

Edge Grips

Edge grips allow your signage to have the three-dimensional effect that you desire without having to put holes in it to attach it to the wall. Rather, they grip the edges of the sign with hardware that supports the bottom and anchors the top of the sign, keeping it firmly in place with pressure. Edge grips make hanging signs particularly easy since all you have to do is attach the mount to the wall and then place the sign into the standoff. Edge grips usually come in satin chrome or aluminum finishes.

Hanging signage is made easier than ever with standoffs and other signage supplies. Plus, thanks to modern technology, finding the signage supplies that you need is easier than ever as well. Plenty of online retailers offer the signage hardware that you need to customize your business to suit your needs and convey the information that you need in the manner that you desire.
